About Copcas - suppliers of natural sausage casings in South Africa

Copcas - a South African sausage casing supplier - was founded in 2002 with a mission to produce high quality sausage casings from local abattoirs. The idea was born out of the frustration of using inferior imported products.

Since being established, the sausage casing factory in Marlboro, Johannesburg has produced both hog casings and sheep casings which are cleaned, selected, measured and salted daily under strict quality control measures.

Due to the superb quality and efficient service we deliver to our customers, Copcas has grown over  the years to be one of the leading sausage casing suppliers in South Africa. Initially we only cleaned and supplied hog casings and sheep casings, but now we also supply a top range of sausage spices, biltong spices,bandsaw blades and sauces (such as chilli sauce, bbq sauce, pepper sauce, peri peri sauce)to the butchery and restaurant trade.

Meet our team in Johannesburg

David Cooper started his career in an abattoir in England before coming to South Africa in 1977. In this abattoir he learnt about the cleaning and selecting of natural sausage casings. In South Africa, Dave worked for a multinational until 1992 when he branched out on his own. His vast knowledge of natural sausage casings is well know and he is the leading expert in South Africa in this field. Currently Dave manages the factory in Johannesburg

Bruce Fallet has been in the animal industry since 1996 working for various companies in the meat industry. Currently Bruce heads up the procurement of raw material used in the process of producing natural sausage casings.

As a salesperson with eleven years of experience i am passionate about connecting my customers with innovative and relevant solutions. With my attention to detail and a genuine interest in meeting your needs , the only question that remains is, how can I help you ? - Helen
